The Daihatsu Hijet is a well established van, pickup truck and general goods vehicle made by daihatsu between 1986 and 2004. Such a longstanding run proves how well this model was accepted and it has built quite a name for itself as a good alround van. The Daihatsu Hijet has been described as "the closest thing on the roads to a loaf of bread" - this hints at its box like looks but the drive is not too doughy in a hijet. Released only ever with a 1300 cc engine and a 5 speed manual box the Daihatsu Hijet is a workhorse of a van.
